Hao'Sum Shinsegae Centum City — Hong Kong Dim Sum, Solo-Set Style
Visited: October 2026 · First-hand review
We were passing through the B1F food hall at Shinsegae Centum City when Hao'Sum caught our eye — a Hong Kong-style dim sum and noodle spot. We just wanted something light, and it turned out there was bar-style single seating, so we each ordered our own solo set. Since xiao long bao and har gow were right there on the menu, we also added an order of black har gow on top of the base set.

1. The solo set (Set A) — xiao long bao, napa cabbage, beef noodle soup

The solo set (Set A, 16,900 KRW) comes with 2 pieces of xiao long bao, half a portion of Hong Kong-style steamed napa cabbage, and beef noodle soup in clear broth. It's a solid amount for one person, and noticeably cheaper than ordering everything separately. Overall it was decently tasty — nothing that blew us away, but everything was easy to finish.

Of the three, the beef noodle soup was the standout for us. The broth looks clear but is seasoned fairly saltily, which matched our preference for a stronger, saltier broth over something subtle. The beef itself was tender, not chewy.
The xiao long bao was packed enough that the soup visibly sloshed when picked up with chopsticks, and biting in released a real burst of broth. If we had to pick one dish to order again here, it's this one.
The Hong Kong-style steamed napa cabbage, on the other hand, was dressed in a soy-based sauce that was fairly mild. It's not that it tasted bad — it just wasn't our style, since we tend to prefer stronger, saltier seasoning.

2. The extra order: black har gow

We also added the black har gow (3pcs, 9,500 KRW), marked "BEST" on the menu. The squid-ink dumpling skin makes it visually distinctive, but the actual taste was just a fairly ordinary shrimp dumpling. Fun for the look, but not something we'd say is worth ordering purely for flavor.
3. Easy enough to eat here alone

The bar-style single seating made it feel completely normal to eat alone, and with a dedicated solo set on the menu, it's an easy option for a solo meal even at a dim sum restaurant. Being inside the department store also made it convenient to stop by between shopping.
